UPDATE -- The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the person who died in a crash Wednesday night at the intersection of Highway 316 and Highway 61 in Goodhue County.
The State Patrol says 74-year-old Patricia Otte from Randolph was killed in the crash. She was the passenger on the Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, 63-year-old Thomas Otte, also from Randolph, suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic Saint Marys Hospital.
Neither of them was wearing a helmet.
ORIGINAL STORY-- A three vehicle accident turned fatal in Goodhue County. It happened just after 8:20 Wednesday night at the intersection of Highway 316 and Highway 61.
According to Minnesota State Patrol, A Chrysler 200 was headed south on Highway 316 when it crossed the intersection and hit a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the northbound lane of highway 61. A Cadillac then hit the Chrysler in the southbound lane.
The State Patrol is calling this a fatal accident and says it will release information about the people on the motorcycle later Thursday night. At the moment it was a 63-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman - both from Randolph - on the motorcycle.
The driver of the Chrysler was taken to North Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries. The passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries, but was not transported.
The driver and passenger in the Cadillac were not hurt.
