Murphy looks to sell healthcare vision at Rochester campaign stop
ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -
A DFL candidate for governor wants Minnesota to be the first in the nation to provide guaranteed healthcare to everyone. She's stopping by Rochester Wednesday to explain why.
State Rep. Erin Murphy returns to Rochester just over a month after receiving the DFL endorsement in the Med City at the state convention. Murphy unveiled a plan Tuesday to develop a single-payer healthcare system that would cut out the "profit-driven middleman" from the healthcare process.
Murphy faces stiff competition from Rep.Tim Walz for the DFL nod. The primary is set for Aug. 14.
She's stopping by Cafe Steam at 12:30 p.m. to pitch her case.
