2 people arrested and charged with sexually abusing a child
ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -
Two people from Rochester are facing serious charges in court for allegedly sexually abusing a child and putting video of it online.
Friday's court hearing follows an investigation that has been underway since May. It all started when Rochester Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The organization provided police with an IP address that linked 28-year-old Adam Reitz and 25-year-old Shahla Thompson to online videos.
Police say the videos showed sex acts involving a child. The child was a boy under the age of ten. Police also say Reitz and Thompson know the boy.
The two are facing multiple charges including 1st degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, possession and dissemination of child pornography, and soliciting a minor for sex.
Reitz and Thompson were arrested and booked into the Adult Detention Center in Rochester Thursday.
