Road closures begin as construction ramps up in Southeastern Minnesota
NEAR ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -
It's go time for multiple construction projects across Southeastern Minnesota Monday, including a major repaving operation for Highway 63.
A 13-mile stretch of the highway, from the Rochester roundabout to Zumbro Falls, will be closed as concrete paving work begins. The detour takes drivers on Highway 52 North to Highway 60. For southbound drivers, follow the same route in reverse.
Local traffic will remain open for residents to access properties along the highway.
Meanwhile, look for an alternate route near Eyota, where roundabout construction begins. It's happening at the intersection of Highway 42 and County Road 9. Detours there include Highway 14 and County Road 10. Read more about that project here.
