Saturdays are meant for hanging out with friends, and for a lot of people in Rochester, that meant spending an afternoon at the Craft Beer Expo. Doors opened at 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the Mayo Civic Center to let beer aficionados come in and enjoy some drinks.
Attendees got the chance to enjoy beers from all over the country produced by more than 40 different breweries. A commemorative sampling glass was given to all in attendance. Some attendees came from as far away as Sioux City just to enjoy the craft beers.
"We always like to try different beers," says Angie Claussen, who came with her friend Nancy Miller, both from Sioux City, "and it's a plus because her daughter lives here and what a beautiful day to be here and be out and about to have some good craft beer, different types. We explored Rochester, been around, and what a beautiful city it is here!"
A Silent Auction took place during the event with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the PossAbilities Foundation.
