Former Senator Al Franken schedules first public appearance since leaving Congress
Former U.S. Senator Al Franken has scheduled his first public appearance since leaving congress last year.
Franken is scheduled to speak at a privacy and cybersecurity forum in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 1st. He's expected to discuss allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election, and what can be done to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Franken resigned from the Senate last December after several women accused him of sexually inappropriate behavior in the past.
