Motorists be aware, toll roads may someday be coming to Minnesota.
A new study released by MnDOT looks at whether collecting tolls from drivers who go on a certain highways in Minnesota is even feasible.
The study's goal was to figure out whether certain rural and urban roads have the ability to generate toll revenue.
MnDOT's conclusion: it needs to do a more detailed study.
Minnesota already collects tolls in some lanes through MNPass on certain freeways in the metro area to help ease congestion.
