Winter in Minnesota means a lot of snow and a lot of time for snowmobilers to break out their rides and enjoy the winter.
But for the Byron Snow Bears it's been an up and down season for snowmobiling, following last week's big snow storm that faded into warmer weather later in the week, creating uneven conditions.
On Sunday the club was able to get out on the Douglas State Trail, gathering around to enjoy some hot dogs, sodas and desserts.
Organizers hope to get some more snow soon to extend their riding season.
"Groomed this morning and there's actually a pretty good base on the Douglas trail.. so it's been sort of an up and down season. We hope we get a couple more inches on Tuesday and Wednesday and we'll be back in business again," said Jim Miesbauer, Byron Snow Bears Trail Administrator.
The Snow Bears focused on trail appreciation and getting others to ride along the trails safely.
