Winona business booms with Vikings playoff success
WINONA, Minn. (FOX 47) -
Following Sunday's nail-biting game against the Saints, Vikings fans are gearing up for the big game this weekend, but fans are not the only ones with a reason to be excited.
While supporters are showing their pride in their team, workers at Wincraft are dealing with a lot of products related to the NFL playoffs.
Wincraft employees are working hard to get merchandise out to sporting goods stores across the country.
Employees say the Super Bowl coming to Minnesota is a source of pride for many who work here and the possibility of the Vikings making it to the big game is boosting morale.
"We've seen a lot more Vikings stuff come through, and that makes us happy. We see some of the new products that we don't normally see. So yeah, it's good. We work on a variety of things all day long." Said Wincraft employee Donna Verdick.
Wincraft officials say orders for Superbowl products are coming in from many different places.
They add that the possibility of the Vikings making it to the Superbowl is good for business. That's because often fans of teams that haven't had a lot of recent championships usually are more eager to buy sports products.
