Ricky Waiters was accused of murder outside a Winona bar on July 27th, 2016.
His trial will begin January 29th.The date was set at a pre-trial hearing Wednesday.
In November 2016, a grand jury indicted waiters on two charges of first degree murder, plus multiple counts of second degree murder and other charges.
Witnesses say Waiters parked in a no-parking zone, and was approached by someone about to tell him not to park there.
He then allegedly fired six shots into a crowd outside EB's Corner Bar.
53-year-old Bob Johnson died at the scene.
The Winona County Attorney expects the trial to last three weeks, based on the number of witnesses the prosecution expects to call to the stand.
Throughout the 18-month legal process, Waiters has remained in the Winona County Jail.
