One organization is hoping to teach people how to prevent overdose deaths in the Minnesota and Iowa area.
The organization "Recovery Is Happening" is hosting a community Naloxone training workshop Monday night.
Naloxone is the medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. The workshop will address how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to administer the medication.
Training will be in the Rochester Public Library Auditorium from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The training is free but the organization does ask that you register in advance.
