MSC Southeast's cyber security program ranked first nationally
WINONA, Minn. (FOX 47) -
A Winona College's Cyber and information security program was ranked number one nationwide by GreatValueColleges.com.
The program at Minnesota State College Southeast incorporates cyber security, networking, forensics, and criminal justice. It's designed to prepare students for jobs in a very high demand profession.
According to the "GreatValueColleges" website, one of the things the program was ranked on was affordability. Another was it's staff.
"Our program was developed with an advisory counsel and faculty that consists of military intelligence professionals, civilian cyber security technologists, professional academic faculty." Said Travis Thul, Dean of trade and technology.
"We really have a great team that encompasses all the facets of professionalism, academia, law enforcement and military, which are really the primary domains of the cyber security world."
MSC Southeast is a two-year technical and community college, with an annual per-credit tuition of $5,590.
Thul says enrollment in the program has tripled since the program started in 2015.
