After a nice Monday, temperatures have begun to drop going into Tuesday, which could put your car at risk for failure.
Mechanics say it is especially important to check out your battery, coolant levels and tire pressure levels.
They also say that any small leak can become worse with the cold weather causing cracks.
Doing all of these things can help prevent failure and keep drivers on the road during the winter months.
"Some stuff you can check at home, some stuff you can't. So it'd be a good idea to bring it in, because we can get it up on the hoist and get it up in the air and look underneath it and visually inspect everything underneath there. Then we've got the proper tools for testing the battery, testing coolant temperature, things like that to make sure they're at the proper levels where most people at their home don't have that thing," said Matt Jarland, Manager at Joe's Tire & Auto.
For those who don't have the proper tools or time to check your car, mechanic shops like Joe's will perform a complementary inspection, to help keep your cars on the road.
