The holiday season is in full swing, but it doesn't quite feel like it.
The mild temperatures are getting more people outside to cut down their own Christmas tree.
Wittlief Christmas Tree Farm in Oronoco says it's on track to having a record-setting season.
Normally the farm sells about 200 trees in an entire season, but the farm's owners say they've already passed that number.
They expect to sell about 325 trees this year.
They say the weather has been a huge factor in that, and they say nothing beats the feeling of having a real tree.
"I think people are coming out because the word is getting out more," said Clint Wittlief. "It still makes me laugh when I see it in a movie, it's actually better for the environment to cut a real tree plus a real tree is so much better than an artificial tree, a real tree most of us grew up with real trees when we were younger and I think that's why we see this generation coming out cutting your own trees."
Wittlief Farm also says the power of social media and word-of-mouth is bringing out more customers.
