Investing group Roark Capital, which owns the fast-food chain Arby's, is now buying buffalo wild wings, the chain of sports bars, for $2.9 billion.
Buffalo Wild Wings stock had been down before rumors about a deal with Arby's surfaced two weeks ago. The deal now makes the sports bar chain a private entity.
Buffalo Wild Wings is headquartered in Minneapolis. Arby's is owned by Roark Capital, which also has big stakes in companies like Jimmy John's, Cinnabon and Culvers.
