People in Claremont feasted on Sunday for a good cause--and as part of a longstanding tradition.
St. John's Lutheran Church in Claremont hosted its 57th annual Potato Pancake Supper Sunday afternoon.
For any donation, people could get all-you-can-eat potato and buttermilk pancakes, eggs, sausage, and more.
Proceeds will go to the St. John's Cemetery Restoration Project and the Dodge County Food Shelves.
Organizers say they decided on those two causes in order to give back to the community.
"It was ten years ago our other church burnt down so we moved into this building," said Larry Kirkenberg, one of the organizers. "Next summer will be our tenth anniversary. It's something that's been a tradition. Every fall there's fall festivals and this but we've had this pancake supper and so we're just continuing on with the tradition."
The church says more than 200 people came to last year's supper-- that's about half the population of Claremont!
