Childcare is considered a vital part of a thriving community and Austin, like so many towns, is looking for solutions to address a childcare shortage.
Monday night, a town hall meeting at the Hormel Historic Home will reveal findings from a survey regarding childcare access in Austin, taken this fall.
According to the non-profit "First Children's Finance," Austin has a shortage of about 800 full time child care slots. The town hall meeting will serve as a forum to brainstorm solutions.
Dinner and childcare will be provided for the meeting. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
