ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -

The Olmsted County Sheriff's office honored several people at their awards ceremony tonight.

Several deputies were sworn in, others received promotions and a couple presented life saving awards for their courage in the field of duty, but the deputies weren't the only ones presented with a life saver award.

Francesca Dean and Harper Pratt were given the Citizen Life Saving Award, as the two girls stole the show with their heroic tale of saving the life of their close friend Julia from drowning in a pool.

"It was kind of scary. Yeah it was a little scary. I didn't think she was breathing.Yeah me neither," Francesca and Harper said alternately.

Harper said it was a good thing her friend was close to the edge and she was able to grab her because she said, "I don't know how to swim without my floaties."

Thanks to their quick thinking, one life was saved, and a night of honor was well deserved for these two.
