UPDATE: Rochester Police release name of man arrested during drug bust
ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -
An update to a raid of a southeast Rochester home Tuesday morning.
Rochester police said it was the culmination of a long term investigation. Police told us they arrested 44-year-old Darnell Brown, of Rochester around 9:30 a.m. after he ran from officers in the 800 block of 6th Avenue SE.
Brown had six grams of heroin on him plus, 40 grams of marijuana.
Officers were prepared to execute a search warrant earlier that Tuesday, but Brown left his home, so they followed to make the arrest.
Police returned to the home, and discovered $3,000 in cash.
Brown faces 2nd degree sales of a controlled substance and possession charges, plus a fleeing on foot charge.
One person is behind bars after police raided a Southeast Rochester home in connection to a heroin bust.
Officers said the search was in connection to a long-term investigation involving a heroin dealer on the 900 block of 6th Avenue Southeast. They said that person is in custody.
Police told KTTC that officers arrested him shortly before the search and that he had several grams of heroin on him.
The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
