The jackpot for the Wednesday's Powerball drawing is $700 million.
That makes it the second largest jackpot in U.S. history. The odds of winning are one in 292 million.
The Holiday gas station at the corner of 55th Street NW and Bandel Road NW was busy Wednesday afternoon selling tickets.
We asked some people why they were taking a chance and what they'll do with the jackpot if they win.
"Taking a chance. I don't do it every day, " said Rick Read from Redwood Falls.
"What I would do, I'd go on a few vacations and enjoy it. Enjoy life," said Joe Ryan of Rochester. "Buy some stuff, pay off my bills and just enjoy."
"If I win what I'm going to do is give a million to everybody I care about," said Ronald Hareid from Rochester. "Make sure everybody I care about have money and I want to move to Washington."
The drawing is Wednesday night just minutes before 10 p.m.
