An evening of music honored the work of two people in the Rochester theatre community.
Friends of the Rochester Civic Theatre, a group of former volunteers at the theater, held a benefit concert Sunday evening at Crosswinds Church in Oronoco.
It was a show of support for Greg Miller and Denise Ruemping.
Miller served as artistic director at the theater until the position was eliminated this June.
Shortly after that, Ruemping resigned as education director.
The group organized the concert to recognize the influence they've had on the theatre community over the years.
Performers from the civic theatre's past productions volunteered to be in the show.
"They're very loved and have been very loved for years," said Jerry Casper, Director of Theater at RCTC. "This shows how much they've affected not only people who perform-- tons of people signed up to perform tonight. We're not even doing all of the things that people wanted to do because it would be too long of a show."
Proceeds from the concert, a silent auction, a bake sale, and other donations will be given to Miller and Ruemping to help them after their separation from the civic theatre.
