Police are investigating after several shots were fired at the window of a child's bedroom early Tuesday morning.
Rochester Police said officers responded to a report of shots fired at Far Park Apartments on 27th Street NE at 3:25 a.m. The caller told police they woke up to the sound of glass breaking in a 6-year-old child's bedroom. The child was in the room at the time. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
A witness said they heard six or seven gunshots, and investigators found multiple holes in the window and several casings.
Police said they believe the apartment was targeted, though they currently have no suspects.
The shooting is under investigation.
This incident comes just days after another shooting that was reported at Hyland Apartmentson Charles Court NW. Shots were fired at an apartment where four people, including three children were inside at 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The shooting at Hyland Apartments remains under investigation as well.
