A layer of fresh snowfall from the overnight hours coupled with some freezing drizzle in spots Thursday morning are making for a slippery situation in much of the area.
Spotty freezing drizzle will continue through much of the morning with drizzle ahead for the midday hours. High temperatures will be in the mid 30s with just a light breeze. As another wave of low pressure moves in late in the day, look for a mixture of rain and snow showers in the early evening before a general transition to snow. Snowfall accumulation overnight will be around one to two inches and another inch or two will be possible Friday into Friday evening as that upcoming system slowly pushes through the region.
