ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Over at Soldiers Field Golf Course, they like to start the season in early April, and despite the recent weather, this year is no exception.
Officials there say this covering of wet snow is mostly just an annoyance.
They say it doesn't mean any extra work at this point, and it could help things get a little greener once that sunshine and warm spring weather finally moves in.
Golfers won't have the chance to get out this weekend at Soldiers Field to start their season, but it won't be much longer.
"We have people calling the golf shop and hoping that we open any day now, and as soon as this snow goes, I think we will be open," said David Richardson, the Soldiers Field Golf Pro
Richardson says they're hoping to get the course open for golfers on Wednesday if there aren't any surprises in the forecast.
