BEAVER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation said a 7-mile stretch of Highway 74 north of Beaver is temporarily closed due to rising water.
The stretch from Beaver (Winona County Road 30) to Weaver (Wabasha County Road 26) is MnDOT's only gravel road and is within the Whitewater Wildlife Area north of Elba.
MnDOT workers placed barricades on the road and road signs to warn motorists of the closure.
The closure is indefinite until conditions improve.
