Hatching the past, dinosaur babies and eggs

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KXLT) -- Here's your chance to go way back in time, back when dinosaurs roamed the land.

Quarry Hill Nature Center is opening a new Dinosaur exhibit that features Dinosaur babies and eggs this weekend.

The exhibit takes a rare look at the family life of dinosaurs and includes real and cast dinosaur eggs and nests collected from all over the globe.

Pam Meyer says there are so many interesting things for both kids and adults to discover about this exhibit.

"What's interesting is how you have these massive ancient dinosaurs that came out of eggs that were very small. We have here a therapod egg, the 2 leg dinosaur like a t-rex and here we have a soropod egg, a dinosaur that would have walked on 4 legs," says Pam.

Hatching the Past, Dinosaur Babies and Eggs opens this Saturday at the Quarry Hill Nature Center. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for kids. They are open 9 - 5 p.m. on Saturday and 12 - 5 p.m. on Sunday. You can also check them out on weekdays from 2 - 5 p.m.
