ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A blizzard warning remains in effect until noon Friday for most of southeast Minnesota and north Iowa.
Snow will continue to fall Thursday evening with totals ranging from 8-14 inches.
Blizzard and whiteout conditions are expected Thursday night into Friday morning. The National Weather Service says winds of 25 to 35 mph, gusting to 45 mph, will create widespread blowing and drifting snow.
Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges says travel will be extremely difficult late Thursday through Friday morning.
Kegges said cold air will move in behind this system and will be an unwelcome guest for a very long time, likely through the end of February.
