ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Structural improvements are coming to the grandstand at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds.
On Tuesday, the Olmsted County Board placed the project into the capital improvement budget for the year.
The project calls for $85,000 to be spent this spring to make immediate repairs to corroding columns and base plates.
The board also agreed to add an asphalt sidewalk along 16th Street Southeast and Broadway, which both border the grandstand.
The city of Rochester will look into other improvements along 16th Street Southeast.
