Rochester man re-arrested, facing new charges

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A Rochester man wanted on a warrant for making terrorist threats is now facing new charges.

Rochester police say just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Street Crimes Unit located 29-year-old Richard Patten in southeast Rochester.

Officials say Patten resisted arrest and ran away from police. When officers finally took him into custody, on the 300 block of 5th Street Southest in Rochester, they found a handgun on him.

Police say Patten is a convicted felon and should not have had the gun.

Patten had also been arrested last week for a drug offense.
