ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- As the CapX2020 Project starts to wind down to completion in the next few years, talks now turn to how to pay for it.
The Rochester Public Utilities Board met Tuesday afternoon to review three possible funding options.
One would cause no electric rate hikes for RPU customers, while the other two plans would ramp up costs between 3 and 3.5 percent.
According to RPU Communications Coordinator Tony Benson, the plans are not expected to affect water utility rates.
No decision was made regarding the three alternatives Tuesday, but the proposed budget will go up for board approval at the Nov. 12 meeting.
