ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The Rochester Fire Department responded to an early morning fire at a grocery store.
Officials said the small fire broke out at about 4 a.m. Tuesday at HyVee North, on Highway-37 in Rochester.
An employee smelled smoke coming from the cooler and upon inspection, he saw four boxes of meat on fire against a wall. He called police, then put the flames out with a fire extinguisher.
Fire investigators believe the fire started from heat tape attached to a condensation pipe.
Rochester Fire says damage is estimated at about $400 dollars, but the Health Department is doing a complete inspection.
