Minn. changing vaccine requirements for kids in early childhood programs

ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Minnesota is changing vaccine requirements for child care facilities and early childhood programs.

The Minnesota Department of Health says starting Sept. 2014 kids must be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B. The vaccination requirements are already in place for students beginning in kindergarten, but they'll be extended to child care and early childhood program starting next September.

Parents will still be allowed to claim a medical exemption or decline vaccines.
