Rochester police arrest two in baby formula theft

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Police have made two arrests in the theft of a staggering amount of baby formula from a Rochester store.

Rochester police say 47-year-old John James and 35-year-old Sheila Olson, both from Rochester, were arrested shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Employees at the Target south store say they watched the two load up their cart with almost 100 cans of baby formula.

When James and Olson walked out of the store without paying,Target employees notified police.

James and Olson were later spotted at the Target north location, where the Minnesota State Patrol assisted Rochester police by stopping the suspects' vehicle in the store parking lot.

Police say the two are facing felony theft charges. Making the story even more interesting is the fact that neither James or Olson have children.
