ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Authorities confirmed Friday that a motorcyclist involved in a crash in southwest Rochester Thursday has died.
Police say Aaron Eckblad, 34, of Rochester, died of injuries he received in the crash, which happened shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday on the 1300 block of Salem Road Southwest near T.J. Maxx.
According to Rochester police, a pickup truck was turning left onto Fox Valley Drive Southwest from Salem Road Southwest.
Eckblad's motorcycle was coming from the opposite direction on Salem Road and tried to avoid a collision but ended up hitting the back of the truck.
Police say both vehicles had a green light at the intersection.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
