ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Townsquare Media is buying Cumulus Media stations based in Rochester, Preston and Owatonna.
The sale is part of a national deal announced Friday that includes 53 stations in small and mid-sized markets. Townsquare is buying the stations from Cumulus for $238 million.
The Rochester stations include KROC-AM 1340, KROC-FM 106.9, KOLM-AM 1520, KWWK-FM 96.5, KDCZ-FM 103.9, KDZZ-FM 107.7 and KYBA-FM 105.3. Townsquare is also buying Preston-based KFIL-AM 1060, KFIL-FM 103.1, KVGO-FM 104.3 as well as KDHL-AM 920, KRFO-AM 1390, KRFO-FM 104.9 and KQCL-FM 95.9 based in Owatonna.
The sale is part of a series of moves by Cumulus. The media company is also buying Dial Global, a distributor of syndicated programming and 24-hour radio formats, for $260 million.
