ALBERT LEA, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Alliant Energy is selling its Minnesota electric and natural gas distribution businesses.
The company announced Tuesday in Albert Lea that Southern Minnesota Energy Cooperative and Minnesota Energy Resources Corporation are among several companies buying the services.
The sale still has to be approved but officials with Alliant Energy say you won't see any changes in services over the next 6 to 12 months.
Once the sale is approved, you'll likely start receiving separate bills for gas and electricity.
