In July 2013, Mary joined the news team at FOX 47 KXLT-TV as an anchor and multimedia journalist.
It's a homecoming for Mary, a native of Edina, Minnesota. She is excited to return to her Midwestern roots and tell the stories of the tight-knit community of Rochester.
Mary is a proud Mizzou Tiger and completed her master's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May 2013. She was selected as the 2013 David Kaplan Memorial Fellow, which included a fellowship at ABC News in Washington, DC.
Over her time in Missouri, she worked as a reporter, anchor and producer for KOMU 8 News, the NBC affiliate for the region and as a graduate research assistant in the Investigative Reporters & Editors (IRE) Database Library. Mary also has experience writing and anchoring for Newsy.com, a multimedia video news service that allows users to compare news sources from around the world to see how a story unfolds.
In the spring of 2012, Mary worked as a statehouse reporter for Missouri Digital News out of Jefferson City, where she produced radio spots for St. Louis' KMOX News Radio and KBIA, Columbia's NPR affiliate.
Mary earned a B.A. from the College of Communications and Fine Arts at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA in 2011. She graduated Cum Laude and is a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society.
She is a proud member of Delta Gamma Fraternity and sports anchors and pearls whenever she has the chance. During her college years, she also studied abroad at University College Cork in Ireland.
