ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The strawberries are now ripe for the pickin'.
And although summer's favorite berry is a bit late this year, local strawberry growers say the fields are now ready to harvest.
Firefly berries in Rochester say they're about 2 weeks behind schedule of their normal strawberry harvest, due to a lack of sunshine this spring.
However, the less than ideal weather hasn't stopped customers from making the trip.
They recommend customers call the farm ahead of time to check the availability of the produce.
