ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 47) -- There are just days left in the 2013 legislative session...and the plan that will shape the future of Rochester is getting it's last make over in St. Paul.
When we talked to Senator Dave Senjem Wednesday, legislators were still working out the details for DMC, but he was able to give us a preview as to what the final bill may look like.
Legislators need to work out the difference between the House and Senate versions of the bill.
The biggest differences are in the make-up of the governing board and the amount of money the city of Rochester will need to contribute.
Senjem says the committee is close to an agreement. Legislators agree that DMC will be included and on the large dollar amounts.
He says it's some of the smaller points they're still working out.
"Actually we're working with Mayo and the city of Rochester in sort of working out the fine points, the wrinkles, the minutia that's related to putting that all together," Senjem said.
Senjem said legislators have settled on a city contribution of $128 million dollars -- the same amount as in the House bill.
When it comes to the governing board, Senjem said it would likely be made up of four local and four non-local members.
