LYLE, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The Lyle School District has named a new superintendent.
The Lyle School Board approved Jennifer Backer as the new part-time superintendent.
Backer is originally a Lanesboro native. She has currently been serving as superintendent in Cromwell, Minn.
She is scheduled to start the new job in Lyle on July 1.
The Mabel-Canton School District has also offered Backer a contract as a part-time superintendent for its district.
That contract is pending approval at this coming Tuesday's school board meeting.
