ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (FOX 47/WFLA) -- Authorities say the bus carrying the Rochester Community and Technical College baseball team ran a red light and collided with a car in Florida Wednesday morning, seriously injuring two people in the car.

No one on the tour bus was injured.

The Heartland Tour bus, driven by David Watkins, 33, of Viola, Minn., was transporting RCTC players and coaches on a spring break trip in St. Petersburg where they were scheduled to play a 12-game series.

Investigators say Virginia Frazier, 74, of Clearwater, Fla., was making a left turn at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when her car collided with the bus. Video evidence from a red light camera at the intersection indicates the bus ran a red light before entering the intersection and colliding with the car.

Police say they're still waiting on additional video to determine the location of Frazier's car in the intersection when the light turned red.

Both Frazier and her passenger, Eduardo Arana, 48, also of Clearwater, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. Frazier "coded" at the hospital but was revived by the medical team in the emergency room.  She is still listed in critcal condition.

RCTC Head Baseball Coach Steve Hucke told NBC affiliate WFLA, "Baseball right now doesn't mean anything right now. It's a matter of what's going to be best for our guys and best for everybody else involved."

"This is kind of playing a waiting game right now and I kind of need to assess my team and see where they are from a mental standpoint and see if we want to continue to play today or if we want to go back and just relax," Hucke said.

There was also a dog in the car at the time of the accident. Police say officials from the local Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took the dog in for treatment of minor injuries.
