ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- It looks like the weather is once again going to take a toll on our wallets.
This recent cold snap has made it's way down to the Dessert Southwest and is damaging crops down there.
A lot of the nations leafy green vegetables such as lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower - come from that region and are being hurt by the cold.
While it is too early to tell how much prices could go up locally on these items, a price increase seems likely in the near future.
"We're going to see pricing definitely change and increase here from the present time through January and into February. It's going to be ugly and prices are going to rise on the California Vegetables," said Pat Miller of Russ Davis Wholesale
Pat told us even with a warm-up down south, it will take several weeks to get back to normal.
