ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A man convicted in the 2008 assault that left former RCTC football player Joseph Geike with severe brain damage appeared in court Wednesday.
Howard Risher pleaded guilty to the crime in 2010 and served 6 months in prison, but now he's back in court for violating his probation.
This was Risher's first appearance for this violation, and he will appear again on Friday.
Risher was originally ordered to pay nearly $82 thousand to the Geike family but that amount was later lowered.
The Geikes say they have not received any money, and court documents show Risher still owes more than $34,000.
