
ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- An Olmsted County Sheriff's deputy is doing OK after his gun fired unexpectedly.
It happened during a traffic stop near 50th Avenue Southeast and U.S. 14 East at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The passenger of the car, who had a warrant for his arrest, led deputies on a foot chase. One deputy arrested him while the other had his gun drawn.
A twig had gotten lodged in the deputy's holster during the chase.
When the deputy returned the gun to the holster, it went off and grazed the deputy's thigh.
The deputy was seen at Saint Marys Hospital and released.
