ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Plans are in place for a third dog park in Rochester.
The plans are in conjunction with the street project at the north dog park location to ease traffic congestion.
The new park will go on the northwest end of the Rochester Recreation Center property along the Zumbro River.
According to Mike Nigbur of the Rochester Park and Forestry Division, the site will be cleared of trees for flood storage but preliminary plans for a dog park expansion are set for 2014.
The new fenced in park would join two others in Rochester which include the West Circle Drive park and the park on Pinewood Road Southeast near Pinewood Elementary.
