Powerball player in Winona Co. wins $1 million

WINONA, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The two grand-prize-winning Powerball tickets were sold in Arizona and Missouri but one person in southeast Minnesota won a huge prize as well.

Powerball announced a $1 million dollar ticket was sold in Winona County.

Here's a look at the lottery numbers from Wednesday night: 5, 16, 22, 23 and 29, and a Powerball of 6.

State lottery officials said one ticket sold somewhere in Winona County matched all five numbers but not the Powerball.

As of Thursday at 10:30 a.m., the winner has not come forward.

In all, 58 people nationwide matched all five numbers becoming millionaires.

Six other tickets in Minnesota matched four of the five numbers along with the Powerball.

Each of those tickets is worth $10,000.
