
ALBERT LEA, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A 15-year-old girl has been charged in the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Albert Lea.
Assistant Freeborn County Attorney Erin O'Brien said the girl is being held in a juvenile facility in Dakota County on a second-degree assault charge.
Albert Lea police said the girl stabbed the boy three times with a small knife last Wednesday in the 700 block of Alcove Street.
The boy was treated and released for his injuries from Mayo Clinic Health System.
There's no word on what led up to the stabbing.
