ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Rochester Republicans gathered to watch Tuesday's presidential debate. Gov. Mitt Romney touched on some key points that the crowd was waiting to hear about.
Local republicans backed Gov. Romney along with his future job employment plan.
"That gets America 12 million new jobs in four years and rising take home pay," said Romney.
"Well I think he's taking that seriously," said Bruce Kaskubar, a Chair of the Rochester Republicans.
Kaskubar said spending is out of control at the federal level.
"I think he (Romney) appreciates that we are borrowing about a third of every dollar that the federal government is spending," said Kaskubar.
Kaskubar explained one way to fix that is controlling it at every level.
"And so we've got to spend within our means," he said. "And this president doesn't seem to have any interest in doing that."
