OSSIAN, Iowa (FOX 47) -- The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says one person is in custody in connection with a shooting incident that sparked a school lockdown this morning in Ossian and Calmar.
An investigation continues into a report that shots were fired near South Winneshiek School in Calmar. Authorities arrested Dan Wildman in a cornfield a few miles east of Ossian after he fled on a four wheeler. He's being held on outstanding warrants in the Winneshiek County Jail.
Earlier Tuesday, deputies said they were looking for a second person involved in the incident.
No one was hurt. South Winneshiek Community Schools were put on lockdown as a precaution earlier on Tuesday.
