
WINONA, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A Rochester man is in critical condition after a street fight in Winona early Sunday morning.
Winona police say the 21 year old was kicked in the head after being knocked to the ground as two groups were fighting at Franklin and 9th Street.
It happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
One group outside a home was talking about the Vikings and Packers. Another group walked by, exchanged words and a fight broke out in the street.
When police arrived, the 21-year-old Rochester man was conscious and trying to get up but his condition worsened.
He was flown to Saint Marys Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
